Maria Kemp
Kemp Academy Director
I have spent most of my professional life in education, starting at the prestigious Oxford High School in the 1990s. In Oxford I helped run my first language course for Spanish students in 1995. Moving to London I helped launch Oliver House school in Clapham and created the first PACT International Summer schools, laterally I was employed by the Ursuline High School Wimbledon as their Parents Champion.
I am committed to life long learning a recently completed another degree in Philosophy at the Open University. Both my husband and I regularly attend Family Conferences and are board members of the British Charity Family Development Foundation (IFFD). I have been invited to give parent seminars in Ireland, Holland and Russia, as well as all of Great Britain.
I now want to offer a more exclusive bespoke language course from the heart of our Scottish home. I personally source and interview all English teachers, moderators and activity leaders.
The achievement of which I am most thankful and proud of are my seven children. The experience of being a mother of a large family gives me the confidence to assure you that your child will receive the unique and individual nurturing that he or she requires whilst learning English within our family.
